Undoubtedly one of Grenada’s top entrepreneurs, businessmen and visionary, Anselm La Touche exemplifies leadership and the result of hard work.
His journey started 45 years ago with his mission to become self-employed in the construction industry. In 1975 he created his first business – Creative Designs and Building Construction Co. Ltd. – a building design company. Creative Designs gained momentum and allowed him to create several other businesses which evolved into “The Creative Group of Companies”. Under his leadership, the group manages several popular businesses including Creative House Do It Best, Cooling Tech Ltd, Terra Caribbean and Shelter Solutions Inc. His unwavering passion for construction led him to establish several real estate development companies: Fortress Ltd., Eastern Development Ltd., South View Development Inc. and Affluent Housing Inc.
Dr La Touche is a pillar in the construction industry and his creativity, innovation and commitment to complex projects have been recognized by many. In fact, in 1981 he was awarded the Kiwi Award for his hurricane-resistant roof structures. In 1999 Ernst and Young awarded him the coveted Entrepreneur of the Year award for retail and services, and he has also captured two awards from the Grenada Chamber of Industry and Commerce for exemplary services.
In 2005 he was bestowed an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from St. George’s University. Dr La Touche has been the primary construction service provider to the University for over 40 years, a clear testimony of the quality of service he provides.
